About the Role
The Constituency Manager will support the Constituency Director in formulating the annual communications strategy that aligns with the People's Association's overarching communication goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and executing the Constituency Office’s yearly communications plan in line with organizational objectives.
- Curate and archive community stories and images illustrating the Constituency Office’s activities.
- Enhance the Constituency Office’s social media footprint by managing digital assets such as social media platforms and websites, including crafting monthly content calendars and producing engaging posts, videos, and infographics; monitor and engage with online discussions.
- Collaborate with the People's Association headquarters and volunteers to develop, amplify, and disseminate communication materials.
- Track media coverage and online discussions to identify opportunities and issues relevant to the mission and programs, preparing reports accordingly.
- Supervise colleagues in the creation of marketing collateral such as banners, posters, and digital signage ensuring brand consistency and cultural appropriateness.
- Analyze demographic profiles within the local community to tailor engagement activities effectively.
- Design programs to connect with different groups, addressing their concerns and sentiments.
- Facilitate the creation of interest groups and local communication networks to strengthen community bonds.
- Partner with organizations like VWOs and educational institutions to develop and expand local demographic-based networks.
- Communicate government policies, collect community feedback, and relay it to relevant government departments.
- Plan, implement, and review strategies for the development of Grassroots Organizations (GROs) and the community.
- Organize recruitment and appointment processes for volunteers and GRO members to ensure adequate community representation.
- Manage financial processes for GROs including accounting, procurement, fund utilization, and cash management following PA’s financial regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Interest or experience in communications with a focus on social media.
- Strong awareness of current events, national policies, and community news.
- Proficient written English skills; familiarity with Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil with capability to converse and proofread in these languages.
- Active user of social media platforms with enthusiasm for online networking.
- A motivated team player with a collaborative spirit.
Additional Information
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for PA's structured interview process. Successful applicants will be offered a three-year contract and assigned to work within a Constituency Office or Community Centre.
