Job description
Role Overview
The Communications Associate will assist the U.S. Policy Communications Lead by providing critical organizational support for the communications team. This role requires fostering strong collaboration across functions and offering surge capability to address various policy communications requirements on a national scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between regional U.S. communications leads and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and messaging.
- Create diverse internal and external written content such as press releases, story pitches, opinion editorials, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, and talking points.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to collaborate with the public policy team on new community policies that enhance the company's reputation and protect its interests.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum three years of experience working in a dynamic and collaborative communications or administrative role supporting a team.
- Well-developed process management skills coupled with a strong eagerness to learn, improve workflows, and share effective practices.
- Ability to lead communications processes and maintain organized team operations confidently.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills with the capability to engage team members across all department levels effectively.
- Prior experience working with media and communications roles is essential.
- A positive, enthusiastic demeanor and composure when handling high-pressure scenarios.
- High personal integrity aligned with core company values, including a dedication to diversity and inclusion.
Compensation
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $39.50 to $49.50.
