Communications Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a Communications Associate to join Ripple Effect with at least two years of relevant experience. This role focuses on developing and implementing communication strategies that support the organization's mission. You will create engaging content, facilitate outreach activities, and help build a positive image for Ripple Effect across various channels. The role is fully remote within a dynamic and diverse work environment offering flexible options and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce diverse communication materials including plans, newsletters, messages, presentations, social media content, infographics, blogs, multimedia assets, and marketing collateral.
• Assist in designing, executing, and assessing communication campaigns to effectively disseminate information and promote a favorable organizational presence.
• Coordinate and support both virtual and in-person events, stakeholder engagement, and outreach initiatives.
• Develop an understanding of client priorities, missions, and audiences to tailor impactful communication strategies.
• Collaborate with creative teams such as writers, editors, designers, and developers to ensure communication products meet quality and project standards.
• Monitor communication projects, track progress, update statuses, and proactively highlight any scheduling challenges.
• Contribute to establishing branding guidelines, editorial standards, and quality assurance processes.
• Review communication outputs to ensure consistency, accessibility, and brand adherence.
• Collect and analyze data from social media, websites, surveys, and stakeholder feedback to inform communication strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of pertinent experience; additional education may substitute for experience.
• Proficient in creating content across multiple formats with the ability to simplify complex information for varied audiences.
• Basic understanding of communications strategy, including campaign planning and message development.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in communications, marketing, or public relations (e.g., PRSA).
• Knowledge of communications research methods such as usability testing and digital analytics.
• Familiarity with event and conference management logistics.
• Understanding of accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance.
• Experience managing social media accounts with knowledge of best practices.
• Intermediate ability in using AI tools for project management, aware of their strengths and limitations.
