Commissioning Manager

About the Role

Penspen is seeking a Commissioning Manager to be stationed in Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing commissioning activities especially related to electrical engineering aspects such as cable sizing, load calculations, switchgear, and power distribution for significant Oil & Gas or Petrochemical ventures, both offshore and onshore.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning planning process and ensure all systems are mechanically complete and fully commissioned according to approved design intent.
• Oversee electrical scopes including cable sizing, load calculations, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Guarantee that handover occurs with fully operational systems adhering strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) standards.

Requirements

• Engineering background with at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, boasting 18 years of professional experience including 10 years in commissioning for major Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects; or alternatively, a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with 22 years total experience including 14 years in commissioning within similar sectors.
• Proven leadership in formulating commissioning plans to ensure operational readiness without compromising safety regulations.
• Experience with offshore projects involving commissioning, operations, and startups.
• Working knowledge or prior involvement in ARAMCO projects is a beneficial asset.
