Role Overview

The Collections Specialist will be based in Abu Dhabi and plays a vital role in credit control, collections, invoicing accuracy, and dispute resolution within the Service Business. Reporting to the Credit Controller, you will implement credit policies to balance acceptable risk, timely repayments, minimized losses, and efficient arrears recovery. This role requires a customer-centric and analytically strong professional, with about 90% of the work conducted in the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address collection related customer inquiries, facilitate refunds, process and audit account adjustments, and resolve discrepancies and underpayments.
  • Manage assigned accounts through customer communication, balance reconciliation, small write-offs, and issuing credit memos.
  • Work to reduce overdue payments in assigned client portfolios.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable team with various assigned tasks.
  • Engage sales and senior management involvement when needed to expedite collections.
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up with sales teams regarding customer accounts.
  • Build and sustain cooperative relationships with dealers and sales personnel.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in high-volume corporate field collections.
  • Solid understanding of billing and collection procedures.
  • Experience in accounts receivable is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and prior working experience in the UAE are mandatory.
