About the Role
Join one of London's largest oncology and haematology research teams as a Clinical Research Practitioner within the Lung Oncology Research Team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This role involves leading coordination of a defined portfolio of clinical trials, assisting in study initiation, patient identification, trial discussions, data collection and reporting, and providing ongoing support to patients and their caregivers throughout treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate research clinics and organize study-related participant care to ensure smooth trial operation.
- Implement and evaluate recruitment strategies to enroll research participants effectively.
- Lead management of a portfolio of clinical research studies, performing clinical assessments adhering to professional standards.
- Maintain proactive communication with both study and clinical teams to ensure participant-centric experience and protocol compliance.
- Complete case report forms, manage site files, apply study amendments, and oversee database updates.
- Serve as a mentor and provide support to new and junior members of the research team.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities within the team to uphold high standards of research conduct.
- Ensure participant safety and well-being through strict adherence to study protocols, relevant regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
