Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Cleaner position based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland involves maintaining exemplary cleanliness and hygiene standards in commercial, industrial, and community facilities such as offices, classrooms, shared spaces, restrooms, and site amenities. Daily duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, wiping down surfaces, waste disposal, and sanitizing frequently touched areas to ensure health and safety compliance. The role requires operation of cleaning equipment and proper handling of cleaning agents following company guidelines, as well as reporting any maintenance or safety concerns. Adherence to biosecurity protocols and site-specific regulations is essential. The Cleaner will collaborate within a supportive team environment, follow established schedules and checklists, and contribute to a respectful, safe, and welcoming workplace.

Key Qualifications and Skills

• Strong attention to detail and consistency in executing cleaning tasks such as surface cleaning, floor care, and waste management.
• Knowledge and safe handling of cleaning machinery and chemicals aligned with workplace health, safety, and biosecurity standards.
• Effective time management and organization to comply with cleaning schedules, complete checklists, and prioritize multiple cleaning assignments.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with supervisors, colleagues, and clients on cleaning requirements and site access.
• Dependability, punctuality, willingness to learn, and dedication to maintaining elevated cleanliness standards.
• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, construction site cleaning, or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Physical capability to perform demanding tasks such as standing for prolonged periods, lifting moderate weights, and safely handling equipment.
• Availability to work full-time on-site on the Sunshine Coast with flexible scheduling for early morning, evening, or weekend shifts when needed.
