Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Civil Supervisor to oversee daily civil construction activities on a significant project in Dubai, UAE. This role demands solid civil engineering expertise and hands-on experience in construction supervision. The successful candidate will coordinate site operations to ensure tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and align with approved designs, project standards, quality benchmarks, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily civil construction efforts, including excavation, concrete works, foundations, structural components, blockwork, finishing, external works, roads, drainage, and utilities to assure conformance with construction documents and project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, subcontractors, engineers, consultants, QA/QC, HSE, and project leaders to coordinate workflow and resolve site issues.
• Review and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work fronts based on daily activity plans and schedules.
• Track contractor progress against set timelines and identify potential bottlenecks or risks, escalating them appropriately.
• Facilitate inspections by ensuring readiness of works and liaising with QA/QC teams to confirm compliance with inspection and testing protocols.
• Maintain rigorous oversight of site safety to guarantee adherence to project health and safety regulations.
• Assess and comment on method statements, shop drawings, inspection requests, material deliveries, and other site documentation.
• Resolve technical queries and coordinate design clarifications and site interface among multidisciplinary teams including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, and commissioning.
• Maintain detailed daily records encompassing progress, manpower, observations, inspections, and issue logs.
• Assist with progress reporting, punch list management, non-conformance report follow-up, and closeout documentation.
• Support testing, handover, snagging, and closeout activities for civil construction elements.
• Promote a culture prioritizing safety, quality, accountability, and prompt issue resolution throughout site operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years experience in civil site supervision, construction management, or engineering on large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or mission-critical projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong capability to supervise day-to-day civil construction including earthworks, concrete, foundations, blockwork, finishes, drainage, external works, and roadworks.
• Ability to interpret civil, structural, and technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and inspection documentation.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams including contractors, consultants, QA/QC, and HSE.
• Proficient in monitoring project schedules, identifying constraints, and facilitating corrective actions.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control processes, inspection regimes, NCR handling, punch list management, and handover procedures.
• Strong awareness and enforcement of site safety regulations and practices.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data center, mission-critical, industrial, infrastructure, or commercial projects.
• Previous work experience in Dubai, UAE, or the GCC region.
• Background in PMC, consultant, or client-side construction supervision roles.
• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, local authority demands, and international construction standards.
• Experience using project management software like Aconex, Procore, Oracle Primavera Cloud, BIM 360, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project.
• Additional certifications or training in construction safety, QA/QC, or site supervision.
