Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions on audits and intercompany transactions.
  • Design and apply month-end close procedures, control standards for reconciliations, and journal entry approvals to maintain process integrity.
  • Promote standardization and automation of accounting functions, particularly as the Finance Shared Services Centre expands its role.
  • Lead and mentor the Singapore consolidation/general ledger team, provide guidance to regional finance staff and the SSC record-to-report function.
  • Serve as the principal interface between headquarters finance, regional entity controllers, and auditors, managing all consolidation-related inquiries.
  • Support group finance projects including new entity onboarding, mergers and acquisitions accounting integration, and ERP system deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, with professional certification such as CA (Singapore), CPA, or ACCA mandatory.
  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in accounting, including audit training at a Big 4 firm and roles involving group finance and consolidation within a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in closing and consolidating accounts for over ten entities with exposure in APAC and at least one Western market (Europe or US).
  • Strong familiarity with SFRS(I) and IFRS frameworks, covering revenue recognition, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation.
  • Experienced user of NetSuite or similar ERP platforms, complemented by advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Background in shared services or SSC operations is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in consumer electronics, hybrid hardware-subscription revenue models, or transfer pricing is a plus.
