Role Overview

Galway Bay Hotel is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to become part of its energetic kitchen team in Salthill, Galway. This position is suited to someone who enjoys preparing great food, performs well in a lively service environment, and wants to continue building skills through ongoing training.

The Role

In this role, you will rotate through several kitchen areas, including banquets, café/carvery, bar, and grill service. You will help deliver high-quality dishes while contributing to a positive, cooperative kitchen culture.

Key Duties

Prepare menu items in line with specifications and quality expectations.
Stay organised and service-ready for day-to-day kitchen operations.
Work closely with colleagues to consistently meet and exceed guest expectations.
Monitor stock levels and place orders when required.
Support and guide other kitchen staff to help maintain a constructive working environment.
Follow food hygiene standards, HACCP procedures, and all kitchen safety rules.
Care for kitchen equipment and escalate faults or concerns without delay.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant will have at least one year of experience in a busy kitchen, preferably in a Chef de Partie position. You should be enthusiastic about cooking and presentation, comfortable working as part of a team, and confident taking initiative. Good communication in English is important, along with a strong commitment to food safety, high standards, and continuous learning.
