Job Overview

The Checker role at Jetro Restaurant Depot involves actively monitoring customers and employees at the store exit to ensure compliance with purchase procedures and to deter theft. The individual will maintain a visible presence at the front exit, perform receipt verification, and collaborate with management to minimize inventory loss.

Key Duties

• Greet all customers exiting the store in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Inspect purchase receipts and, if missing, advise customers or employees to pay for unpaid items, escalating incidents to management.
• Report any security issues such as vandalism, robbery, fires, shoplifting, loitering, and other incidents to management and Loss Prevention.
• Conduct bag inspections on employees leaving the store.
• Remain visibly stationed near the store exit doors throughout the shift.
• Contribute to safeguarding company property and reducing theft.
• Keep management informed about any suspicious behavior or individuals.
• Provide testimony during theft apprehensions involving staff or customers as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Capability to stand and walk across the sales floor for entire duration of the shift.
