Role Overview

The Home Category team in India is seeking a Category Manager to lead and expand category growth while spearheading key customer-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess a strong passion for customer service and strive to make Amazon a preferred partner for Home brands. This role demands balancing visionary thinking, dealing with ambiguity, and rapid experimentation. Candidates must be self-driven with strong analytical abilities, capable of making data-driven independent decisions, and collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders both internally and across borders.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

The successful candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills while navigating constraints, possess excellent communication proficiency, show ownership and perseverance, lead teams towards organizational objectives, exhibit proven project management leadership, and adapt comfortably to evolving frameworks in emerging domains.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • More than 5 years' experience in retail, operations, product/program management, business management, or consulting involving negotiations and measurable outcome delivery.
  • A bachelor's degree or at least 3 years of professional or military experience.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis and ownership of profit and loss statements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience handling large datasets to enhance performance and streamline processes.
  • Practical background in vendor negotiations, pricing strategies, promotions, inventory oversight, and product development.
