Role overview

Remark Fresh Markets is hiring a cashier to support in-store checkout operations at its London, Ontario location. This position is fully on site, so the work must be carried out at the physical workplace and cannot be done remotely.

Language

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Prior experience is not mandatory; however, any relevant experience will be considered an asset.

Key duties

• Handle customer transactions through the cash register.
• Accept and process cash, cheque, and credit or debit card payments.
• Scan products during checkout.
• Collect payment for merchandise or services.
• Balance the day or shift’s takings against total sales.
• Welcome customers in a friendly manner.
• Weigh produce and bulk food items when needed.

Technology and equipment

Experience with an electronic cash register, Interac terminal, and price scanner is relevant to this position.
