Job Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as a Cashier offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service expertise. The role centers on delivering exceptional customer service throughout checkout to build customer loyalty while maintaining vigilant oversight to minimize losses and safeguard company assets.
Key Duties
- Warmly greeting every customer to ensure a positive interaction.
- Efficiently processing purchases including merchandise deactivation in compliance with the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) program.
- Promoting Walmart's sponsored offers, such as credit card services, product protection plans, and charity campaigns.
- Helping customers by bagging and assisting with loading their items.
- Adhering to safe work protocols such as proper lifting techniques and maintaining an orderly workstation.
- Upholding strict register security through careful cash handling and vigilance in accordance with company policies.
- Directing customers to a Customer Service Manager when additional assistance or transactions are needed.
Compensation
The starting wage for this cashier role is $17.75 per hour.
