About the Role
Telecel Ghana is seeking a Fraud Management Lead to play a vital role in protecting the integrity of Telecel Cash’s revenue streams, ensuring operational strength, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves the creation, execution, and supervision of a robust fraud prevention strategy focused on mitigating risks related to commissions, third-party integrations, and Mobile Money Interoperability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of fraud operations by quickly detecting, responding to, and preventing fraud incidents.
- Develop and sustain systems and controls to deter fraud in vulnerable business areas such as commissions and third-party service integrations.
- Lead comprehensive fraud risk evaluations for both new and existing products following Security-by-Design principles.
- Identify new fraud threats and coordinate effective countermeasures against evolving fraudulent activities.
- Monitor fraud trends from both internal and external sources, providing actionable reports and insights to senior leadership.
- Ensure all fraud management practices comply with audit standards, regulations, and legal disclosure obligations.
- Engage actively in internal and external fraud prevention forums to promote risk reduction through collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in fraud management, revenue assurance, or operations within telecom or IT sectors, with a robust understanding of telecom and FinTech fraud schemes and defenses.
- Highly analytical with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Skilled in using anti-fraud technologies, including transaction monitoring and risk detection systems within telecom/IT environments.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively simplify complex information and guide strategic decisions.
- Driven to optimize processes, enhance commercial outcomes, and continuously improve fraud control mechanisms.
