Riverside Lifecare is a 65-bed care home situated in the sunny Merrilands area of New Plymouth, Taranaki. Role Overview
This permanent full-time position (32+ hours per week) offers an hourly wage of $31.23 and includes shifts in the mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends. As a Caregiver, you will contribute significantly to providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents within a warm and supportive environment. The Care Home Manager emphasizes building a positive team culture and professionally growing team members.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional and compassionate care to residents to enhance their wellbeing.
- Promote a warm and supportive environment where residents feel valued.
- Engage collaboratively with team members and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe care setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience, preferably in aged care.
- Hold at least a New Zealand NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent qualification such as a Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing.
- Dementia care experience or related qualifications are advantageous.
- Minimum of six months experience in a caregiving role or similar.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- A genuine passion for assisting others with a positive and friendly demeanor.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and an understanding of health and safety importance.
