Role Summary
This full-time, on-site position in Abuja is for a Caregiver who will support clients with daily living activities and basic care needs. The role includes help with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility, along with careful observation of client well-being and timely communication of any changes to supervising medical staff.
Key Duties
The caregiver will also handle light housekeeping tasks connected to client care, such as keeping the surroundings clean and safe and ensuring supplies are well organized. In addition, the role involves offering companionship, emotional reassurance, and respectful communication with clients and their families while following POINTCARE MEDICAL’s standards for safety, privacy, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Practical experience assisting with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and helping clients move safely.
- Ability to follow care instructions, notice changes in a client’s condition, and provide basic health observations.
- Good communication and people skills for working politely and effectively with clients, family members, and care teams.
- Capability to keep the environment clean and safe while observing infection prevention, safety, and confidentiality rules.
- A caring attitude, patience, dependability, and sensitivity to different cultures and individual care needs.
- Prior work in caregiving, nursing support, or home care is an added advantage.
- Caregiving or healthcare certification/training is beneficial, and readiness to continue learning through training is expected.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, stay on foot for long periods, and assist with lifting or transfers when required.
