Job Overview
This opportunity is for a full-time delivery driver based in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, focused on the timely and courteous pick-up and delivery of packages along designated routes. The role emphasizes adherence to company standards and providing excellent customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform pick-up and delivery operations efficiently and courteously within assigned routes.
- Ensure compliance of all packages with company service standards and regulations.
- Engage in customer service duties related to delivery activities.
- Manage work schedules and adapt to varied shifts, including holidays as needed.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent educational certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (not more than two infractions or accidents in past 24 months); valid classes include 5, G, or 1[AZ].
- Physical capability to lift items up to 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs using suitable equipment.
- Customer-focused business experience preferred (minimum one year).
- Successful completion of mandatory driver assessment training with minimum required scores.
- Basic understanding of company operations and Canadian customs regulations is advantageous.
- Proficient interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility for variable work hours and shifts as dictated by operational requirements.
Additional Details
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Employment commitment: Full-time role.
