CAD Drafter

Role Overview

We are seeking a CAD Drafter to generate electro-mechanical technical schematics and documentation, contribute to detailed design specifications, and supervise drafting team operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create precise 2D and 3D CAD models using industry-standard software.
• Maintain high-quality output and accuracy in all technical drawings.
• Work closely with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with project goals and organizational policies.
• Lead multiple drafting tasks and provide mentorship to team members.
• Conduct peer reviews to guarantee compliance with standards.
• Assist manufacturing and assembly efforts through detailed documentation support.

Qualifications & Skills

• At least five years experience working with mechanical CAD systems.
• Advanced proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD platforms.
• Familiarity with ASME Y14 drawing standards and conventions.
• Ability to author and update technical documents comprehensively.
• Experience in hardware design, fabrication, and leadership roles is advantageous.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.

Additional Information

Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively as well as the ability to operate independently. This position is based onsite in Panama City, FL, necessitating presence at the work location.
