Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Job Summary

We seek a motivated Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our Freight Forwarding and Logistics services within the UAE and GCC regions. The successful candidate will have a robust history of securing new clients, overseeing strategic accounts, and enhancing revenue streams through comprehensive knowledge of Air Freight, Sea Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and Supply Chain Solutions.

Primary Duties

• Identify and cultivate new business prospects via cold calls, networking events, referrals, and face-to-face client engagements.
• Maintain and expand a strong portfolio of import and export customers.
• Actively promote the range of logistics services including Air and Sea Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and Supply Chain Solutions.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
• Oversee and grow current client accounts effectively.
• Prepare commercial quotations, negotiate contractual terms, and finalize deals to generate new business.
• Coordinate closely with Operations and Customer Service departments to streamline service delivery.
• Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales targets.
• Perform market research and evaluate competitor landscape to inform sales strategy.
• Commute across the UAE for client meetings and business development activities.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an allied discipline.
• Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in business development within UAE’s Freight Forwarding and Logistics sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in marketing Air Freight, Sea Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and Supply Chain services.
• Established network of contacts within the UAE logistics market.
• Strong negotiation prowess and superior communication abilities.
• Must hold a valid UAE Driving License.
• Flexibility to travel extensively across the UAE as required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary up to AED 15000.
