Role Overview

Reporting to the maintenance services coordinator, this vital position maintains a clean, safe, and functional environment for all users. The role involves diverse maintenance, snow removal, and manual handling duties to support technical teams and daily IRCM activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clear snow and clean entrances, sidewalks, and access points to guarantee user safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of facilities.
• Conduct minor to medium repairs involving drywall, plaster, and painting.
• Install, repair, adjust, or replace various equipment, furniture, and accessories.
• Carry out basic unclogging of drains such as sinks, washbasins, showers, and toilets.
• Assist with receiving, handling, and moving goods or temporarily cover for responsible personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness, upkeep, and good condition of buildings and outdoor areas at IRCM.
• Undertake any other related tasks associated with the role.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role, including building maintenance, carpentry, painting, or interior renovation.
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform varied manual tasks.

Desired Skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in French.

Key Details

• Schedule: Full-time (38.75 hours per week).
• Position type: Permanent.
• Starting pay: $24.77 per hour.
