Job description
About the Role
We are looking for skilled Bridge Inspectors experienced in rope access techniques to become valuable members of our team. The position involves performing detailed structural inspections on critical transport infrastructure, evaluating asset conditions, and proposing cost-efficient maintenance approaches that ensure safety, dependability, and optimal functioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine, responsive, and comprehensive structural inspections following New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) standards.
- Gather, analyze, and document asset condition information to aid asset management and decision-making.
- Recommend maintenance and renewal strategies for structural assets based on inspection findings.
- Assist with planning and executing structural investigations and inspection programs.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in structural inspection, engineering, or a related trade.
- IRATA-certified rope access qualification.
- Possession of at least one Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) certification such as PCN or AINDT in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
- Valid full driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications and Certifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
- AMPP/NACE Level 1 or Level 2 certification.
- Completion of NZTA Bridge Inspection Course or exemption from NZTA.
- Experience operating Elevated Work Platforms including truck-mounted boom lifts and confined space certification.
