Role Overview
VOLUME 0 is a literary magazine dedicated to showcasing new literature, publishing innovative short fiction from independent authors who challenge conventional styles. Operating with a compact editorial team of three, the magazine seeks a Brand Manager to spearhead marketing and business growth initiatives with both strategic vision and practical execution skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance a subscriber acquisition funnel and establish a robust online presence to expand the brand’s reach.
- Oversee and synchronize multiple marketing channels including the website, email campaigns, social media accounts, and paid advertising efforts.
- Track performance metrics, analyze data, and convert insights into concrete actions to improve business outcomes.
- Manage relationships with freelancers and contributors, ensuring smooth collaboration and project coordination.
- Potentially lead or contribute to advertising sales, sponsorship deals, and partnership opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses over four years of experience in brand marketing, creative leadership, or social strategy, preferably across both in-house teams and agencies within consumer or lifestyle brands.
- Proven track record in developing enrollment funnels for content-driven, media, or consumer-oriented brands.
- Interest in and familiarity with the independent literary and magazine publishing landscape.
- Demonstrates creativity with a willingness to take risks and push boundaries in marketing concepts.
- Exhibits a proactive, hardworking, and resourceful approach in managing tasks.
- Strong analytical skills with comfort in performing quantitative assessments.
- Available and prepared to work in an office-based environment.
Compensation
The position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $125,000.
