Role Overview
This full-time, on-premise position based in Brendale, Queensland requires managing comprehensive bookkeeping duties alongside office management tasks. Responsibilities include handling day-to-day financial records such as accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, generating invoices, monitoring expenses, and ensuring precise financial documentation. Additional duties involve overseeing office resources, facilitating internal and external communication, organizing documentation, assisting with scheduling, and supporting basic human resources activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping processes including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
- Prepare financial reports to inform management decisions.
- Coordinate office supply procurement and inventory management.
- Support communications within the organization and with external parties such as suppliers and customers.
- Maintain organized filing systems and manage documentation efficiently.
- Assist with scheduling tasks and provide administrative support for HR-related functions.
- Ensure adherence to financial and regulatory compliance standards.
- Serve as liaison with vendors, customers, and external service providers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid understanding and application of bookkeeping and accounting principles including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated capability to manage office operations including supplies coordination, record keeping, and support for scheduling and administrative workflows.
- Strong organizational aptitude and time management skills, capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining precision under time constraints.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage cooperatively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting processes, and compliance obligations; prior experience in pharmaceuticals or healthcare is advantageous.
- Relevant educational background in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
