Key Responsibilities

• Develop simulation cells for BIW robot operations.
• Conduct reachability feasibility studies for robot processes.
• Validate BIW tools to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Manage weld distribution, select appropriate welding guns, and handle gun sectioning.
• Prepare cycle time charts to optimize process efficiency.
• Create layouts based on simulation cells for workflow planning.
• Perform offline programming of robot operations.
• Configure Robot Control Systems (RCS) for integration with simulations, including RRS.
• Generate necessary download files for robot controllers.
• Validate manufacturing processes within workcells and specific stations.
• Ensure quality checks comply with established standards.
• Participate in customer review meetings and incorporate feedback.
• Complete all customer-mandated documentation accurately.
• Share knowledge and document procedures to aid team learning.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in robot simulation tools such as Robcad, Delmia V5, and Process Simulate.
• Experience with RCS configuration across multiple robot brands including Fanuc, Kuka, and ABB.
• Knowledge of pre-engineering layouts and cycle time optimization for manufacturing efficiency.
• Familiarity with Microstation software for layout documentation.

Additional Information

Candidates must hold at least a graduation degree. The role demands strong documentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients. Quality adherence and process validation are critical functions within this position.
