About the Role
We are seeking a motivated bilingual Business Development Representative to join our team in Gatineau. If you are independent, personable, and enjoy new challenges, this opportunity is designed for you. You will play a key role in advancing the interests of small and medium businesses by promoting our range of services and initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
- Introduce our organization's services to business owners through regular in-person meetings.
- Prospect and engage with potential new members, encouraging them to join our organization.
- Meet existing members to inform them about current initiatives and manage their membership renewals.
Candidate Profile
- Comfortable working autonomously and handling a high volume of in-person visits (300–400 accounts regularly).
- Strong presentation abilities and confidence in approaching both new prospects and current members.
- Experience running a business or sales experience is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Excellent spoken proficiency in both English and French, as you will be interacting daily with unilingual clients and colleagues in both languages.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary with no cap on commissions and quarterly bonuses. The average representative earns between $85,000 and $95,000 per year, with top performers earning well over $135,000 annually.
- Monthly expense allowance.
- Access to employee assistance programs.
- Employer-matched RRSP contributions up to 4%.
- Comprehensive group insurance fully covered by the employer, including family coverage.
- Life and disability insurance.
- On-the-job sales training provided; prior sales experience is not required. You will also have access to LinkedIn Learning for further development.
- Career advancement opportunities—many regional managers and vice presidents began in this role. Professional growth and internal promotions are encouraged.
- Flexible work hours and self-managed schedule.
- Strong support from your manager, including training and assistance to help you reach your targets.
Work Environment
By joining us, you will contribute to the success of small and medium businesses nationwide and support local economies. You will benefit from collaborative teamwork locally and nationally, a diverse and inclusive work culture, and a commitment to workplace accommodations for persons with disabilities. Over 90% of employees recommend our organization for its supportive environment.
Additional Information
- Our company uses AI tools for preliminary applicant screening; however, all applications are reviewed by a human recruiter, and all hiring decisions are made by people.
- If you require accommodation during the interview process or at work, we are committed to making the necessary arrangements.
