Role Summary
The Behaviour Therapy Technician will aid individuals, particularly children with autism and behavioral challenges, by applying therapy frameworks rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Responsibilities include comprehensive data collection, providing behavioral support, and engaging with clients individually within clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform behavioral evaluations of children utilizing play-based observations, interviews with caregivers, and structured assessment instruments.
- Create and implement tailored behavioral therapy programs addressing children’s developmental, emotional, and behavioral requirements.
- Execute evidence-supported intervention strategies collaboratively with families, caregivers, and educational professionals.
- Analyze behavioral data alongside developmental histories to inform therapeutic objectives and plans.
- Deliver direct clinical support to children, including complex pediatric cases requiring specialized behavioral interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Registered Behaviour Technician License (BACB) or certification from a recognized international board.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Behavioural Analysis or an equivalent field; preference given to candidates with a Master’s degree.
- A minimum of three years' experience in providing behavioral therapy to children and young adults.
