About the Role

Join Sodexo as a Barista in Aiken, SC, where you will play an integral part in delivering outstanding customer experiences by crafting and serving high-quality beverages. This role involves engaging with customers, creating delightful coffee and tea drinks, and maintaining a streamlined service environment.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time position involving varying shifts with a preference for candidates open to flexible scheduling. Compensation ranges from $11.50 to $13.50 per hour, reflecting your experience and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests and provide prompt, friendly, and personalized service.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks including coffee, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, teas, chai, and fruit blends tailored to customer preferences.
• Foster positive relationships with customers to ensure quick delivery of beverages and food items.
• Inform customers about menu options and recommend items to enhance their experience.
• Organize and display coffee bar supplies and utensils attractively.
• Maintain cleanliness of coffee equipment, preparation, and restaurant areas.
• Handle sales transactions accurately, manage cash register operations, and adhere to cash-handling procedures.
• Be prepared for physical activity including walking or standing for prolonged periods during shifts that may exceed 8 hours, as well as lifting weights up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Arrive punctually for scheduled shifts and maintain consistent attendance.
• Undertake additional duties as necessary, adapting to different client and business needs.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or comparable experience is required.
• Background in customer service roles is expected.
• Familiarity with food prep, sanitation standards, and inventory management.
• Certification may be required for baristas previously employed at Starbucks.
