Job Overview
Join SSP Canada as a Baker at Tim Hortons, located within Pearson International Airport, Mississauga. This full-time role offers a competitive wage of $22.06 per hour along with benefits such as dental, vision, prescription, and medical coverage, plus an employee meal plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and bake a variety of bakery items including donuts, muffins, croissants, cookies, bread, and other pastries adhering strictly to company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and order of all baking equipment, utensils, and supplies in the work area to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Proper handling, storage, and rotation of all products following safety regulations, including appropriate labeling during preparation and service.
- Work efficiently under peak production demands while maintaining calmness and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ensure all food products are presented, served, and displayed in line with company quality standards.
- Perform routine and specialized cleaning duties using designated cleaning agents to comply with health and safety guidelines as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a food service setting is mandatory.
- High school diploma is preferred.
- Prior experience at Tim Hortons is considered advantageous.
- Competence in following recipes and attention to detail to maintain product quality.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills to effectively interact with guests and coworkers.
- Must be able to secure Transport Canada security clearance and Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) due to airport security requirements.
