Role Overview
As a B2B Pricing Specialist, you will be central to steering data-driven pricing decisions within our commercial operations. Your tasks include analyzing and optimizing pricing strategies, tracking market trends, detecting opportunities to enhance margins, and ensuring pricing promotes sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Track daily sales trends across different segments including brand, country, supplier, key partners, and business lines.
- Analyze diverse core metrics simultaneously to gain a full understanding of the market dynamics.
- Work efficiently with large volumes of data to identify significant events and business shifts behind the statistics.
- Dive deep into business procedures to diagnose underlying causes of metric fluctuations.
- Create viable solutions that foster positive trend changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce decisions, offer solid reasoning behind proposals, devise action plans, and track outcomes.
- Communicate results effectively through charts and numerical presentations.
- Protect company interests by confidently providing justified refusals when necessary.
- Engage daily with the commercial team to explore market specifics, gather feedback, organize and summarize data for reporting.
- Ensure accuracy of collected data, verify dubious or inaccurate information in coordination with related teams.
- Handle internal pricing discrepancy requests, validate data, decide on prices, and approve discount offerings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Between 1 to 3 years of professional experience in analytics, pricing, revenue management, or similar analytical roles.
- Proficient in English at a B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or above, in speaking and writing.
- Strong analytical capabilities to manage multiple metrics and tools concurrently, understand underlying business processes, and pinpoint root causes of variations.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel features such as pivot tables, cubes, complex formulas, and charting.
- Basic competency in SQL, including reading/modifying queries and crafting simple multi-table data extraction queries.
- Experience handling extensive datasets with a keen eye for detail and logically structured thinking.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is advantageous.
