Position Overview

We are hiring a full-time Associate Video Editor to join our communications team to produce engaging digital video content crucial for our campaign outreach efforts. The role involves close collaboration with the Video Editor and senior communications personnel to craft videos conveying our message effectively. You will work together with photographers, generate creative video concepts, and deliver timely, captivating visual media aligned with our organizational objectives. This opportunity suits individuals passionate about media, storytelling, and social change, enabling meaningful contributions through visual narratives.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Video Editor and communications staff to create broad-reaching and persuasive videos consistent with campaign messaging
• Edit, polish, color correct photography in coordination with the Campaign Photographer
• Develop shot lists and storyboards, and contribute fresh video ideas to enhance campaign storytelling
• Produce final videos with captions and color adjustments by stated deadlines
• Participate in brainstorming and applying innovative video techniques aimed at campaign goals
• Keep current with trends in social media video content, especially vertical formats

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom
• Motivated learner quickly adapting to new technologies and tools
• Strong editorial insight and knowledge of modern social media landscapes, particularly vertical video
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities capable of managing multiple projects under tight timelines
• Availability to occasionally work evenings and weekends as needed
• No prior political experience necessary
