Role overview
Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU), a public university established under Act 1022 and formerly known as Ghana Technology University College, is seeking applications from qualified academics for appointment as Associate Professor within the Business School. The university is based in Tesano, Accra, and provides a supportive environment for teaching, scholarship, research, and faculty growth.

Application instructions
Applicants must clearly specify both the rank and the department in the subject/title of the application letter. Submissions should be made online, and candidates are also required to provide ten hard copies of the application package either in person or through courier to the Registrar at GCTU, PMB 100, Tesano-Accra.
Qualifications and experience
- A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline is mandatory.
- Candidates should already hold an Associate Professor appointment from a recognized university with promotion standards similar to GCTU's.
- For GCTU's benchmark, the applicant should have at least four years of service as a Senior Lecturer and no fewer than ten publications in recognized journals.
- Senior Lecturers who are being considered for promotion to Associate Professor will first be appointed as Senior Lecturer and will then go through the university's internal promotion process.
- Three referees with their names and addresses must be provided.
- Required supporting documents include an application letter, detailed CV, copies of certificates, transcripts, and appointment letters for the current rank.
Key duties
The role covers teaching, student supervision, research, community engagement, and faculty development duties expected of an Associate Professor in a Ghanaian public university.
Compensation
Remuneration will follow the Single Spine Pay Policy and will be aligned with the conditions of service used by public universities in Ghana.
