About the Role
Ecolab, a global leader in premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance solutions for hospitality, institutional, and industrial sectors, is hiring an Associate Production Specialist. This role involves managing all facets of production activities, including operating, preparing (mixing), filling, packaging, and tote washing. Candidates should be adaptable in various production tasks, excluding material handling, mixing, and bulk receiving/shipping.
Key Responsibilities
- At the start of production runs, verify preparation (mixing), filling, and packaging instructions; confirm availability of correct raw materials, packaging supplies, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); seek supervisor guidance as needed.
- Set up and adjust production lines according to preparation, filling, and packaging requirements; request assistance from supervisors or maintenance technicians when necessary.
- Operate equipment continuously such as fillers, sleeve labelers, pumps, filters, mixers, forklifts, cappers, tape machines, bar coders, ink jet printers, hand tools, palletizers, and lid presses; calibrate machines to meet specification standards.
- Handle all line operations including loading empty containers, labeling, mixing, filling, capping, generating bar codes, sample collection, maintaining cleanliness, and related tasks.
- Engage proactively in continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen events, 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), loss analysis, and special projects.
- Identify system/process wastage for elimination continuously.
- Accurately document quality and productivity metrics such as weights and basic quality tests, entering data manually or digitally.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, quality and production work instructions, memos, and standard operating procedures.
- Report safety observations, quality issues, and machinery performance abnormalities promptly and take appropriate action.
- Complete packaging, mixing, and filling tasks meeting or exceeding defined standards.
- Provide assistance during line changeovers, including managing wash water collection.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Position Details
Location: Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in a chemical plant or warehouse setting
- Basic proficiency in English reading and writing
- Fundamental mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals
- Forklift driving capability
- No immigration sponsorship is available for this position
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job
Physical Requirements
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and physical examination
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to complete necessary training and master position-specific skills, including hazardous material safety and Department of Transportation (DOT) training
- Competence in tracking and understanding safety, quality, and productivity data such as run rates and fill weights
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience in reaction chemistry
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement systems
- Strong communication skills, detail-oriented mindset, and ability to collaborate within a team
