Role Overview
As a Project Coordinator based onsite near Wirral, you will be part of a high-caliber team supporting a major power and energy client. This role offers a great chance to enhance your project management skills within complex infrastructure projects under regulated utilities conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing project workstreams effectively.
- Manage contract administration tasks related to NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events documentation.
- Support cost management through forecasting, controlling expenditures, and identifying risks.
- Liaise and coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Contribute towards maintaining project governance, reporting mechanisms, and programme controls.
- Prepare regular progress reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to client standards, processes, and health and safety regulations.
- Help address and resolve project issues to facilitate smooth delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working in sectors such as energy, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering.
- Basic understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4) or eagerness to acquire contract knowledge.
- Strong multitasking, organisational and coordination abilities.
- Awareness of commercial aspects and involvement in project financials or cost reporting.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholder levels confidently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management, or related fields is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as APM, PMI, or RICS are advantageous but not mandatory.
