Assistant Project Manager - Electrical Low Side Projects

About the Role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to aid in executing large-scale electrical Low Side infrastructure projects, primarily focusing on MV and LV systems, RMUs, transformers, busduct, UPS, cabling systems, and ELV systems at hyperscale data center developments located in Navi Mumbai. This mid-level position requires hands-on involvement in project coordination, procurement oversight, vendor and client communication, and ensuring adherence to project management standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Manager in meeting the technical, financial, and delivery goals of the project.
• Coordinate procurement activities including purchase requisitions, request for quotations, addressing techno-commercial queries, order follow-ups, and delivery monitoring alongside vendors and internal supply chain teams.
• Serve as a pivotal liaison among vendors, site teams, engineering, quality assurance, planning, and clients or project management consultants (PMCs) for daily project coordination.
• Support the preparation and consolidation of comprehensive project reports detailing progress, key milestones, risks, issues, and cash flow status.
• Help monitor requirements, changes, and scope alignment between various project stakeholders.
• Engage in project review sessions, supplier meetings, and client coordination as needed.
• Track action items, commitments, and ensure their closure across both internal teams and external parties.
• Assist in identifying and following up on project risks and opportunities; escalate deviations to the Project Manager promptly.
• Uphold compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, site execution plans, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Help oversee contractual compliance concerning vendors and subcontractors under the guidance of the Project Manager.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8-10 years of experience in EPC project execution with a preference for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience related to data center projects, mission-critical environments, or fast-paced electrical initiatives is beneficial.
• Proven expertise in procurement coordination, vendor management, and managing client or PMC interactions.
• Demonstrated capability in project reporting, tracking, and collaborating across multiple departments.
• Familiarity with structured project management methodologies; experience with Siemens PM frameworks or comparable methods is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical Low Side components including LV panels, UPS, batteries, cabling, earthing, and auxiliary systems.
• Ability to operate effectively in demanding, schedule-sensitive project settings involving diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
