Job Overview
As an Assistant Procurement Manager at Dabur India Limited, you will be responsible for sourcing Maize derivatives like Sorbitol and Glucose, Essential Aromatic Oils such as Mentha, Spearmint, Clove, and Sandalwood oils, alongside Psyllium Husk for Dabur and its subsidiaries. You will gain a thorough understanding of the value chain for these products and implement strategic interventions that add value to the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory levels within set norms and propose long-term sourcing strategies.
- Design and execute short-term sourcing tactics.
- Lead the implementation of agreed Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) plans within the category and spearhead new vendor development.
Performance Metrics
- Measure savings against budget and market benchmarks month over month.
- Maintain high On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery scores and optimize inventory turnover.
- Avoid write-offs and actively advance identified cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure quality management is upheld across procurement activities.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Proven result-driven mindset with ownership and accountability.
- Effective team collaboration and adeptness with IT and sustainability practices.
- Analytical thinking complemented with clear communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related fields.
- MBA or PGDBM (preferably with specialization in Agribusiness or Rural Management) from a recognized institution.
- Relevant professional experience ranging from four to six years.
