About the Role

Join a passionate team dedicated to supporting children aged 0–5 and their families within the Healthy Child Programme based in Peterborough. This part-time position offers the opportunity to promote health and wellbeing in early childhood through a partnership approach tailored to local community needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support children, young people, and families to enhance health and wellbeing using early intervention and partnership working.
  • Assist families confronting challenges such as mental health struggles, disabilities, or complex care needs.
  • Operate both independently and allied with the Health Visiting team to provide coordinated care.
  • Manage autonomous caseloads within universal and targeted service elements, serving as the initial contact in clinical and outreach settings.
  • Collaborate with caseload holders to facilitate service coordination and development.
  • Develop specialized knowledge areas enriching the Cambridgeshire Children & Young Peoples Service expertise.
  • Implement health programmes solo or alongside local health teams.
  • Engage actively in ongoing service improvements aligned with organisational priorities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possession of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Child Development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of child developmental processes.
  • Ability to confidently offer advice and guidance to families.
  • Capability to perform confidently both independently and within teamwork frameworks.
