Job description
Overview
The role involves delivering geotechnical engineering services and overseeing project management for slope stabilisation initiatives and the Greater Sentosa Master Plan (GSMP) projects. The primary focus is to ensure major infrastructure works are executed safely, promptly, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners throughout the lifecycle of Master Plan development projects.
- Oversee slope stabilisation projects and manage geotechnical issues related to the Greater Sentosa Master Plan.
- Manage and coordinate projects from initiation to completion ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance and input for geotechnical designs and slope stabilisation analysis.
- Prepare project briefs, technical specifications, and requirements for procurement of consultancy and construction contracts.
- Identify and address project interface challenges by coordinating mitigation strategies with involved parties.
- Detect project risks early and implement necessary controls to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and external agencies to ensure clear communication and coordination.
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor quality and progress, reporting findings appropriately.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering.
- At least 12 years of relevant post-graduate experience in construction, including a minimum of 5 years in geotechnical engineering focusing on slope stabilisation.
- Experience working on at least one deep underground infrastructure project.
- Registration as a Specialist Professional Engineer in Geotechnical Engineering is beneficial.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
Contract Details
