Position Overview
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking an Assistant Director - Academics to provide expert academic counseling for a designated group of student-athletes. This role involves advising on academic progress, registration support, and career planning, aimed at fostering the development of skills that enhance academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Director will oversee the academic monitoring of student-athletes to ensure compliance with university, conference, and NCAA regulations. This includes participation in recruitment by meeting prospective student-athletes during campus visits and managing components of the academic support program under direction from the Deputy AD for Student Services. Evening and weekend work commitments are necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and have a minimum of two years of related experience in an educational context. Proven interpersonal communication abilities, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail are required. Preference will be given to candidates with a master's degree, experience in collegiate student-athlete academic settings, and familiarity with institutional and NCAA policy frameworks.

Compensation
