Art Acquisition Manager

About the Role

Arturo Palomba Gallery LLC invites applications for the role of Art Acquisition Manager based in Dubai. This full-time onsite position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in enriching the Gallery's global collection by sourcing and securing outstanding contemporary artworks for exhibitions, private collections, and strategic acquisitions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Founder & CEO, contributing substantially to the expansion of an international art portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and acquire exceptional art pieces within the worldwide contemporary art scene.
• Establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with artists, collectors, galleries, estates, and cultural institutions.
• Perform detailed market research, including pricing studies and artwork evaluations.
• Support and facilitate negotiation processes and consignment agreements related to acquisitions.
• Compile acquisition proposals and strategic reports to guide collection development.
• Coordinate thorough due diligence on artworks prior to acquisition.
• Participate in international art fairs, exhibitions, and gallery events.
• Keep abreast of emerging artists and global art market trends.
• Collaborate with curatorial and sales teams to shape acquisition strategies.
• Work directly alongside the Founder & CEO to influence strategic collection planning.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Business, Luxury Management, or related fields.
• Have prior experience in galleries, auction houses, art advisory, or acquisition roles.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Show proven capability in building international relationships with artists and collectors.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Be available for frequent international travel.
