Architectural Draftsman

About the Role

EMKAAN Architectural & Engineering Consultancy seeks a skilled Architectural Draftsman to join their Dubai office. The role involves creating architectural drawings and documentation crucial for residential and commercial projects within Dubai, including authority submission packages and construction documentation. Candidates must excel in AutoCAD and demonstrate familiarity with Dubai's regulatory environment, with an aptitude for working efficiently under busy consultancy conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft architectural plans and related technical documentation utilizing AutoCAD software.
• Prepare drawing sets for Concept, Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Issued for Construction (IFC), and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and update drawings required for submissions to Dubai Development Authority (DDA), Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Nakheel, DEWA, and other local authorities.
• Ensure compliance of all documentation with Dubai Building Code and relevant authority regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with Architecture, Structural, MEP, Interior Design, and Site teams to maintain coordinated project efforts.
• Incorporate revisions arising from authority remarks, consultant suggestions, and site conditions.
• Keep accurate drawing registers and comprehensive project records.
• Provide support to project teams during documentation submission and construction phases.
• Deliver high-quality drawings within set project timelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational qualification: Diploma or Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• Professional experience: 3 to 5 years as an Architectural Draftsman, with at least 2 years in the UAE market.
• Proven advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience in preparing authority submission documents specific to Dubai.
• Strong familiarity with Dubai's authority approval processes and regulations.
• Capability to integrate architectural drawings with structural and MEP systems.
• Expertise in detailed design phases and construction documentation.
• High attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
• Competence in managing multiple assignments concurrently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Working knowledge of Revit and BIM methodologies.
• Experience handling luxury villa and premium residential project drawings.
• Experience submitting plans to DDA, Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and Nakheel authorities.
• Basic understanding of BIM coordination processes.
