Role Purpose
Teachers are primarily responsible for prioritizing their students' education by maintaining high standards in both their professional duties and conduct. They must uphold integrity, demonstrate strong subject knowledge, and continuously update their skills while fostering positive relationships within the school community. Ensuring the safeguarding and overall well-being of every student is paramount, following all school policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional teaching aligned with the Misk curriculum and local educational standards.
- Create a secure and engaging learning environment for students.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson schemes per school guidelines.
- Stay informed on relevant curricular documents and maintain accurate records of student progress as mandated by school and local authorities.
- Prepare reports and academic grades according to the school schedule.
- Hold termly parent-teacher meetings to communicate student progress and performance.
- Oversee student safety and order during registration and throughout lessons, including attendance recording.
- Monitor student welfare, record rewards and sanctions, and implement classroom management strategies.
- Design varied and stimulating instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Provide pastoral care and address students' physical and emotional well-being.
- Fulfill homeroom or form tutor duties, including supervision during non-class times such as assemblies, playtimes, and dismissal.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and collaborate with staff such as school nurses and counselors.
- Ensure compliance with attendance regulations and emergency procedures.
- Administer standardized tests when required and document outcomes.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, training days, and additional school events as needed.
- Promote the Arabic language subject through curricular and co-curricular initiatives.
- Adapt teaching based on assessment data and liaise with learning support when necessary.
- Utilize approved digital technology tools for teaching purposes.
- Collaborate with cultural committees to ensure lessons are culturally appropriate.
- Teach a maximum of 20 lessons per week and support other duties such as cover and extracurricular activities as assigned.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the school principal or line manager.
Safeguarding and Welfare
The teacher will actively contribute to the safety and protection of all pupils in compliance with the school's safeguarding policies and will assist the designated safeguarding lead to ensure a secure environment for students.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a 2:1 or first-class degree is preferred.
- Qualified Teacher Status or its equivalent is essential.
- Professional development certifications such as NPQML / CPML or similar are advantageous.
Experience
- At least one year of relevant post-qualification teaching experience.
- Demonstrable evidence of outstanding teaching (preferred).
- Experience contributing to successful academic outcomes is desirable.
Skills and Abilities
- Deep understanding of effective teaching practices.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of assessment techniques for planning and student improvement.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching to varied student needs.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
- Effective under pressure with strong prioritization skills.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning and psychological needs.
