Role Overview
This position involves providing second-level production support for enterprise applications deployed on Unix/Linux platforms, ensuring smooth operations and adhering to service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver L2 production support for applications running on Unix/Linux systems.
- Continuously monitor application health, analyze logs, and evaluate system performance to maintain uptime and meet SLA requirements.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to applications, batch jobs, and system operations.
- Conduct log examinations, debugging sessions, and root cause analysis for recurring problems.
- Support Python-based scripts and applications by debugging and implementing minor improvements.
- Oversee batch job scheduling and management using tools such as AutoSys or cron, addressing any job failures.
- Collaborate effectively with L1 and L3 support teams, development personnel, and infrastructure staff to resolve incidents.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets following ITIL guidelines.
- Participate in deployment, release, and environment validation processes.
- Keep all documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base materials updated and accurate.
