Role Overview
The company is seeking an Algorithms Software Engineer to develop robust, efficient, and maintainable software. The role involves working across all stages of computer vision and machine learning algorithm pipelines, including prototyping, production refinement, testing, and deployment. A key focus will be analyzing algorithm failures and field data to guide improvements, building cloud-based pipelines for monitoring and supporting algorithms, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable software code.
- Contribute to full lifecycle development of CV and ML algorithms from prototype to production.
- Lead software testing with emphasis on algorithm validation and performance.
- Analyze root causes of algorithm failures and recommend improvements.
- Design and deploy cloud-based monitoring systems for algorithm and device health.
- Build cloud services supporting post-processing AI algorithms and development tooling.
- Collaborate with device, cloud, and algorithm teams to implement improvements based on production data.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a software engineer in algorithms, including roles like Software Engineer, Algorithms or related.
- Proven experience with computer vision, machine learning, and image processing algorithms.
- Proficient in Python programming and using data analysis libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas.
- Experience delivering industrial-grade production-quality backend or full-stack software.
- Strong foundation in software engineering practices including version control, testing, and deployment.
Additional Details
The position is based in San Francisco, CA with potential for telecommuting. Interviews take place at 460 Bryant Street, Suite 100, San Francisco. Compensation range is $161,637 to $175,000 annually.
