Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Defence Fuel Network operations across Australia, ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery.
• Perform thorough pre-use inspections of refuelling vehicles, equipment, and associated paperwork to confirm operational readiness.
• Execute daily fuel quality assessments following strict safe work procedures to verify that fuel is uncontaminated and free of water.
• Safely conduct refuelling of Australian and allied military aircraft, implementing necessary safety protocols such as exclusion zones and bonding of equipment in compliance with aviation standards.
• Complete all required post-refuelling documentation accurately, including meter readings and obtaining customer confirmations, while promptly reporting any hazards or incidents encountered.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and collaborative team player committed to upholding safety and operational excellence. While previous defence or fuel industry experience is beneficial, comprehensive training programs are provided to equip entrants with essential skills.

• Maintain safety as a top priority in all duties.
• Possess a valid Heavy Combination (HC) Driver's Licence alongside a Dangerous Goods Handling Licence.
• Exhibit effective communication skills and adaptability within diverse teams.
• Hold or be capable of securing the appropriate security clearances.
