About the Role
L’Oréal is looking for an Adobe Workfront Core Developer to help run Workfront as the global operating system behind its content adaptation factories. The platform supports thousands of marketers, translators, and creative agencies who localise and adapt campaign material at scale.
This position sits within L’Oréal’s Beauty Tech organisation, where technology is used to shape the future of beauty. The company operates across 150 countries, has 37 global beauty brands across four divisions, and continues to expand its technology capabilities with more than 2,000 tech professionals.
Key Responsibilities
You will own the design, configuration, and ongoing optimisation of Workfront’s core structure and workflows.
- Set up and maintain the global Workfront data model, including custom forms, custom statuses, and object relationships.
- Develop calculated custom fields using Workfront formula logic such as date operations, string handling, wildcards, and conditional rules.
- Create layout templates for different user groups, including brand managers, content producers, agency creatives, and translators.
- Run bulk data updates and environment deployments through Workfront Kick-Starts using XML/CSV templates.
- Build and refine project templates and task workflows for creative production, transcreation, and local-market adaptation.
- Configure request queues, routing logic, and queue topics for localisation brief intake.
- Set up Agile/Kanban and Scrum boards with story points, custom card layouts, and workflow statuses.
- Write advanced Text Mode code for reports, dashboards, views, groupings, and filters.
- Create collection-based reporting with nested EXISTS logic to surface detailed workflow performance data.
- Apply inline CSS styling in Text Mode to create conditional visual indicators in reports.
- Track content-factory metrics such as time-to-market, cycle time, throughput, and bottlenecks.
- Design Workfront Proof environments with automated review flows, decision routing, and due-date management.
- Configure proof profiles, decision statuses, and role-based permissions to support legal, regulatory, and brand approvals.
- Build a secure multi-tenant access structure using access levels, system preferences, companies, divisions, groups, and teams.
- Partner with security teams on SSO/SAML setup and automated user provisioning through SCIM and Azure AD.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong command of Text Mode for building reports, filters, groupings, views, and custom collections beyond standard UI features.
- Ability to use inline CSS in Text Mode for dynamic formatting such as coloured indicators, progress bars, and icons.
- Experience creating nested calculated fields with functions such as SUBSTR, CONCAT, SEARCH, DATEDIFF, WEEKDAY, IF, AND, and OR.
- Working knowledge of Workfront API Explorer version 15 or above for object exploration, schema queries, and bulk edits.
- Hands-on experience with Workfront Kick-Starts for migration, seeding, backfilling, and mass updates.
- Background in designing security hierarchies, sharing rules, and access-control matrices.
- Practical use of Workload Balancer and Resource Planner.
- Knowledge of job roles, FTE allocation, timesheet profiles, task priorities, and schedule overrides.
- Experience configuring Agile delivery structures such as Scrum/Kanban cards, backlog settings, WIP limits, and team boards.
- Advanced Workfront Proof/ProofHQ configuration experience, including proof roles, decision statuses, webhooks, and automated multi-stage workflows.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams across distributed and multicultural environments.
- Systematic troubleshooting and configuration-debugging approach.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
- Adobe certification as a Workfront System Administrator or Workfront Core Developer is required; if not already certified, the candidate must be able to pass the technical assessment and obtain certification within 6 months of joining.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to JSON, webhooks, and REST API concepts.
- Prior work in marketing operations, creative agencies, DAM, or localisation workflows.
- Experience delivering work in sprints using Jira or Workfront.
- Basic familiarity with Adobe Workfront Fusion and integration touchpoints.
