Position Overview
Dyersburg State Community College seeks applicants for part-time Art adjunct instructor positions covering day, evening, and online classes. Courses may be held in Dyersburg, Covington, Paris, or other off-campus sites. Initial teaching location may vary each semester.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver assigned Art courses across multiple locations including Covington, Dyersburg, and Paris.
- Design and prepare course materials to align with curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate student learning outcomes effectively.
- Maintain accurate class records and submit attendance, early alert notifications, and final grades within set deadlines.
- Engage with the course management system (eLearn) for all classes to facilitate instruction.
- Attend necessary faculty meetings and communicate any curriculum or personnel changes to department leadership.
Working Conditions
The role primarily involves sedentary desk work with occasional travel related to college or program activities. The work environment adheres to standard office safety and comfort regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Art.
- Effective communication skills for interactions with students and college personnel.
