About Evergreen Care
Evergreen Care is a healthcare organisation dedicated to providing both long- and short-term residential care, primarily focused on older persons but also addressing the needs of others requiring residential care. Since December 2020, under a new management structure, the organisation operates nine nursing homes across Ireland, each fostering a kind, caring, and happy community for residents.
Role Overview
The Activities Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing residents' lives by developing and managing individual spiritual, recreational, and leisure activities using high standards of care. The role involves planning diverse activity programs with the Nurse Manager, organising events, and maintaining a resident-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage varied activities such as arts and crafts, baking, flower arranging, card games, bingo, exercise sessions, hand massages, nail care, sensory room sessions, and attending religious services aligned with best practices.
- Lead the planning and execution of special celebrations and events including birthdays and seasonal festivities, ensuring presence during these occasions.
- Organize daily standard activities actively promoting a resident-centric atmosphere and implement special activities based on residents' interests or requests.
- Demonstrate strong motivation and excellent communication to effectively deliver activity programs to diverse participant groups.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, volunteers, and residents to enrich community engagement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality with dedication to enhancing residents' well-being.
- Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- Experience in healthcare or social care environments is favourable.
- Willingness to pursue continuous training and professional development.

Additional Information
