Role Overview

As an Activities Assistant, you will be instrumental in improving residents’ overall wellbeing. Your role involves delivering personalized activities aimed at boosting independence, social engagement, and enhancing quality of life, all while supporting a nurturing and homelike atmosphere within our care centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging, person-focused activities that enhance physical, emotional, social, and cognitive health of residents.
• Support the planning and delivery of a diverse activities schedule customized to residents’ unique interests, skills, and preferences.
• Motivate resident involvement, encourage self-reliance, and treat every resident with dignity, respect, and empathy.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to guarantee activities are safe, suitable, and enjoyable for all participants.
• Include residents and their families in designing meaningful activities reflecting personal histories, pastimes, and interests.
• Keep thorough records, assist in activity planning, and ensure adherence to health and safety, safeguarding, and care centre protocols.
• Offer a welcoming, professional service to residents, visitors, and colleagues, contributing to a lively and homelike setting.
