Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Accountant based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, to handle daily financial operations. This role includes recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and producing financial reports and statements. The accountant will manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank and company account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end financial closures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Reconcile bank statements with company accounts regularly.
• Support monthly and annual closing procedures.
• Monitor budgets and assist in cost control efforts.
• Facilitate audit activities and ensure compliance with local financial laws and internal policies.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to aid business decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams and management to improve processes and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and bookkeeping, including general ledger maintenance and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
• Competence in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel, and similar financial applications.
• Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and fundamental financial analysis techniques.
• Awareness of accounting standards and UAE financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with effective written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; certifications like ACCA or CPA are a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams onsite while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Prior experience in professional services or consultancy is preferred.
